What I Needed to Hear

Program Note: I will never forget the trust and faith the UConn Concert Choir had in me to compile their thoughts on the mental health crisis into a new piece, “What I Needed to Hear.” A simple yet meaningful text by us, for us. This piece is far from all sunshine and roses, but rather leaves us open-minded, ready to receive positive affirmations and ready to turn into our community.
